I am an engineer in the automobile industry by profession and an artist by passion and would like to be able to incorporate a blend of analytics and creativity into business. I have some experience in supply chain, logistic management, competitor bench-marking and cost reduction analysis. However, I think it is time i try to align my passion with my career. I am looking at building a career in the luxury merchandise industry. (beauty industry in particular- though not very sure of the job role yet). The beauty industry plays a major role in Media/entertainment, or rather has a close link to it, because it is an industry delivering products and services that allow us to present ourselves visually the way we want to. So this would be a great opportunity for me to understand the kind of environment I’d likely be working in at some point. Also, as I mentioned, I am trained classical singer and am absolutely passionate about music, this would also be an opportunity for me to explore the business aspects of the music industry as a second plan of action. I also believe that with my analytical background, the business education and involvement with innovative initiatives like GEMA, I’d be able to achieve my goals successfully.
