Storytelling for Business in Stamford
We’re hosting our workshop at the Stamford campus this week!
Join us for a workshop taught by full-time MBA student Susan Jacob on how to craft short and powerful stories to use in business settings. In particular, you’ll work on crafting stories in a short amount of time and practice putting ANY idea into an elevator pitch that’s tailored to your audience. We just held this workshop in Hartford last week and it was a huge success with a dozen attendees. The workshop is on the UConn Stamford Campus from 5:30-6:30pm on Friday, April 1, 2016 – room 131, so sign up to let us know you’re coming so we can let you know where to go.

3rd Membership Meeting
Announcing the next GEMA meeting for Monday, Feb. 29th @ 4:30pm, Hartford GBLC Room 301. As we did last time, the meeting will also be available via WebEx. We’ll be discussing the current feedback project for the MBA MEC conference on April 8th that we’ll be attending, our update on efforts to reach out to alumni, and taking suggestions for guest speakers. Due to the GFA (Graduate Finance Association) presentation event on April 1st (tentative event and date – it’s still in the works), we’ll also be conducting a Storytelling Workshop to prep anyone interested in that event. Details of the workshop will be shared at this meeting.

We are proud to announce the launch of GEMA’s new website. Built on the the university Aurora service, this new version of our site sports a modern look, fast loading times, and works on all mobile and tablet devices. Not only that, it looks official!
